Martin Saint And His Latest Solo Album, Radio Murmurs

from DJ Nocturna Presents Queen of Wands · host DJ Nocturna

Martin Saint is the frontman for Montreal-based indie rock/ post punk quartet, The Ember Glows. Martin's latest album is called "Radio Murmurs," his fourth solo release since 2019, including his experimental spoken album "Fly Tales" that came out that same year. This new collection emerged during the pandemic with the specific intention to produce a full-length album. He said, the goal was to achieve a result similar to David Bowie’s "Low" album, with half the record featuring more accessible pop hooks and the other half more atmospheric and texture-driven. As always, lyrics aim at standing for themselves outside the music, as a major cornerstone of the ensemble.Glimmers of Nick Cave, Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Simple Minds and The Doors infuse most of Martin Saint’s work and Radio Murmurs displaying these references a little at a time.https://martinsaint.bandcamp.comPlaylist and podcast: https://djnocturna.comYouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/c/DJNocturnaListen : http://modsnapradio.comQUEEN OF WANDS with DJ Nocturna is Every Saturday on ModSnap Radio KMOD: San Antonio 3pm (HST), 5pm (PST), 6pm (MST), 7pm (CST), 8pm (EST)
