Today I’m joined by new Martinsville High School coach Gary Hall, who is set to begin his 31st season coaching high school basketball this winter. We discuss his recent move to the historic town of Martinsville, Virginia, where his daughter and her husband run the thriving local coffee shop, Ground Floor.Martinsville High School holds a proud legacy with 15 state basketball championships—more than any other school in Virginia. Coach Hall shares what drew him back to the sidelines and what it means to lead a program with such a storied tradition.We also catch up on the current state of the game and explore how changes in basketball and in today’s student-athletes have influenced his coaching experiences in Texas and North Carolina.It’s always a pleasure catching up with Coach Hall!
