Martyr and Archdeacon Laurence and Companions of Rome

Today we remember Martyr and Archdeacon Laurence of Rome, who lived during the reign of Emperor Valerian in the third century. Alongside Pope Sixtus, Deacons Felicissimus and Agapitus, and the soldier Romanus, Laurence witnessed and endured great suffering for his faith. Saint Laurence was entrusted with the Church's treasures and showed great care for the poor and hidden Christians. His steadfastness in faith led to his martyrdom on August 10, 258, following the deaths of his companions.Support the show
