Martyr Razhden of Persia the Georgian: A Witness of Faith

Today we remember Martyr Razhden of Persia the Georgian, a nobleman who embraced Christianity and stood firm in his faith despite severe persecution. Taken from Persia to Georgia, Razhden became a trusted military leader under King Vakhtang Gorgasali and courageously defended his new faith against Persian opposition. Despite brutal torture and imprisonment ordered by the Persian king Peroz, Razhden remained steadfast. His final act of faith was his crucifixion, after which his followers secretly buried his relics. His memory is honored through churches and the translation of his relics by King Vakhtang.Support the show
