Martyrs Leontius, Hypatius, and Theodulus of Tripoli

Today we remember the holy Martyrs Leontius, Hypatius, and Theodulus, who lived during the reign of Emperor Vespasian in the first century. Leontius was a respected Roman military leader in Tripoli, known for his bravery and virtue. When the Roman governor Adrian was sent to Phoenicia to persecute Christians, he ordered the arrest of Leontius. Through a series of events, Hypatius and Theodulus, soldiers sent to capture Leontius, came to believe in Christ and were baptized. All three were martyred for their faith after refusing to renounce Christ and offer sacrifice to pagan gods.Support the show
