The Defenders Episode Four Review Podcast Spoiler filled Synopsis Written by: Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez Directed by Phil Abraham From boardroom table to banqueting table Jessica Jones ( Krysten Ritter ), Danny Rand ( Finn Jones ), Luke Cage ( Mike Colter ) and Matt Murdock ( Charlie Cox ) hide out in the Royal Dragon after their battle at Midland Circle Financial. Matt, trying to escape his life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, is distrustful of the new allies. Jessica talks him into revealing his identity to the others. Danny proposes that to take down the Hand they should all work together but the others turn down the offer. Chaste leader Stick ( Scott Glenn ) tracks the group to their location and reveals that New York will be lost if they don’t band together. Jessica calls herself out as she just wants to solve her case. As the case gets weirder she pays a visit to the architect's wife and finds that she’s under The Hand’s observation. Meanwhile Alexandra ( Sigourney Weaver ) persuades the final leader of the Hand, Murakami ( Yutaka Takeuchi ), to her cause. She tracks the Defenders to their shitty excuse for a hideout and crashes the party bringing the Black Sky ( Elodie Yung ) to a stand-off with the new team.
