La fecha fue elegida en 1988 por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y las Naciones Unidas para que los países pudieran unificar esfuerzos en la respuesta global a la epidemia. En este episodio, presentamos la grabación de un panel de tres participantes en diferentes podcasts que ya hemos publicado. El panel fue parte de la conferencia Alianza que se llevó a cabo el 2 de septiembre del 2025 en Los Ángeles CA. La conferencia Alianza se creó en Los Ángeles California, el punto más álgido de la epidemia de VIH/SIDA en Estados Unidos. El Caucus Latino del Condado de Los Ángeles sobre VIH y SIDA, formado por varias agencias de servicios latinos, se unieron para crear la primera conferencia de pacientes latinos de su tipo. Una conferencia monolingüe en español destinada a proporcionar educación sobre una amplia gama de temas asociados con el VIH/SIDA.
