Maryland Football Seniors' Legacy of Big Plays

Maryland footballs standout seniors, including Jalil Farooq, Shaleak Knotts, Octavian Smith Jr., Alan Herron, and Ethan Gough, have had an exceptional 2025 season, earning multiple All-Big Ten selections, NFL combine invites, and setting program records. On offense, Herrons stellar performance at right tackle contributed to the nations fifth-fewest sacks allowed, while Goughs accurate snapping helped the punter rank second in the conference. Defensively, Jalen Huskeys four interceptions tied for fourth in the Big Ten, and Cam Rices 33 tackles earned him honorable mention accolades. These seniors reliability and big plays have set a high standard for the returning core as Maryland prepares for the 2026 season.
