Maryland’s Top International Freshmen

Maryland’s loaded with elite international talent, led by five-star freshman Baba Oladotun, ranked No. 1 overall on HoopsHQ’s top international list, and power forward Adama Tambedou at No. 8. Oladotun, a 6’10” guard, is being compared to Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant and is already showcasing NBA-level skills despite his size. Tambedou, a high-motor, double-double machine from AAU, brings toughness and athleticism perfect for the Big Ten grind. Oladotun’s dad also played college ball, adding to the legacy, while he’s now Maryland’s second-highest-ranked recruit ever. Meanwhile, transfer Tomislav Buljan missed the list, but the Big Ten’s international wave continues with players like Jayden Hodge and Sinan Huan heading elsewhere — proving Maryland’s not just building depth, but elite future stars.
