Mason McClellan & Konnar Stevens: Evil Eyes Squadron & Jet Skis Ahoy — Different Roads, Same Roots

On today’s episode of Small Towns Unscripted, we welcome two men whose friendship and values reflect the very soul of the Lake Chelan Valley—Mason McClellan and Konnar Stevens. Friends since preschool, these two have walked very different paths—military service and heavy equipment, entrepreneurship and ministry—but they remain bound by their roots, their character, and their shared love for the place they’ve always called home.Mason McClellan, raised in Chelan, comes from a legacy of hard work and strong values. His grandfather Don McClellan taught him consistency and quiet strength. His father, Russ McClellan, modeled leadership and drive. His mother, Grace Schramm, gave him the steady foundation of love and guidance. And his grandmother, Patty McClellan, was a rock—offering unconditional love that helped anchor Mason through his childhood. At Chelan High School, Mason stood out as a tough, respected athlete—leading on the football field and competing hard on the basketball court.After graduation, Mason served five years in the United States Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Sergeant in VMM-163—the “Evil Eyes” V22 Osprey Squadron, where he specialized in avionics. Today, he’s back in the valley, operating heavy equipment with Corrigan Grading and Excavation, helping shape the land and infrastructure of the community that raised him.Konnar Stevens, raised just up the road in Manson, is the son of longtime apple farmers Craig and Annette Stevens. His family’s roots in the valley trace back to the early 1900s, and he was brought up with a deep respect for hard work and service. Konnar earned a degree in Actuarial Science from Central Washington University, blending technical skill with entrepreneurial vision. Today, he owns and operates Jet Skis Ahoy, a family-run watercraft rental business that has become a staple of Lake Chelan summers. Beyond business, Konnar is deeply committed to his Christian faith and serves actively at Sage Hills Church in Wenatchee through ministry and outreach.Though their careers are different, Mason and Konnar share a common foundation: lifelong friendship, strong family roots, and a deep commitment to their community.
