The Philly region is bracing for a massive winter storm this weekend, which could bring the most snow we've seen in years. A winter storm warning will go into effect Saturday night and continue into Monday morning. The school district of Philadelphia will be closed on Monday, while Philadelphia Archdiocesan schools will have a flexible instruction day. ***** Philadelphia courts will be closed on Monday because of the storm. The criminal justice center at 13th and Filbert streets will remain open for emergency protection from abuse petitions, bail and arraignment hearings. ***** Hundreds of PennDOT plow crews are ready to hit the roads this weekend as the snowstorm approaches. KYW’s Mike DeNardo reports. ***** Officials in South Jersey say salt depots are stocked up, and they’re ready for whatever might come with this storm.
