Because it's important 🧐 Being able to hold space for your emotions, honouring and respecting your emotions enables you to make sense of how you're feeling. Further, It's the first place to start, to give yourself the tools to feel differently. Emotions are signals and cues. They are not your identity, and they are not a prison. If you're experiencing an unwanted emotion, and you're doing your best to avoid, distract or suppress it - chances are it'll keep coming back. If you find the courage to sit in that emotion and face it, you give yourself the opportunity to heal and move forward from it.
