With 16 Paralympic Gold medals to her name, Dame Sarah Storey is one of the most successful paralympians of all time. She is a multiple gold medal winner at the Paralympic Games in both swimming and cycling and has broken 76 world records in her career spanning almost 30 years. Sarah was born without a fully functioning left hand after her arm became entangled in the umbilical cord in the womb. She overcame a challenging time at school and focused her energies into her sport.
