Mastodon’s Brann Dailor Recalls Being on Game of Thrones: High Five Clip

It’s no secret that the music business is a wild industry, but every now and then it comes with its perks. On this High Five Clip from The What Podcast, Brann Dailor of Mastodon tells the story of how the band managed to appear as extras on HBO’s legendary drama Game of Thrones.Making a pair of cameos in two different seasons, Dailor explains how the opportunity arose, the band’s reaction, and what it was like portraying a wilding. “I looked over and I saw Bill [Kelliher], my guitar player, was asleep in the mud,” Dailor recalled. “And we were about to have our cue that we were supposed to get up, and I think that he woke up at the last second.
