Match Day 2 - Still On The Payroll
from Red Army Reaction Hosted by Oh! Brother Studios
A first win of the season made Sunday at Old Trafford feel pleasantly familiar again. Ipswich were beaten, the early damage was repaired, and United could enjoy an afternoon without every old failing arriving at once. Still, one home victory cannot settle whether this side has truly improved or simply become a little more dependable. The transfer window leaves a peculiar impression. Three new midfielders answer the most obvious need, but the defence remains short of both depth and genuine distinction. Shaw is the only senior left-back, while the same back four that suffered through the four-goal defeat at Brentford can still be called upon years later. United have stopped behaving recklessly. The concern is that a season of unusual opportunity may have demanded something bolder.🔗 Follow us:Twitter - https://x.com/redarmyreactionInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/redarmyreaction
