After a great high school career he attended the University of Arkansas on a baseball scholarship. He then was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2012 MLB draft by the New York Mets. He has been playing professionally ever since, with stops at the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and currently the Cincinnati Reds.
