Matthew 10:5a, 21-33 — Faithful to Jesus to the End (Ep.044), A. Fourth Sunday After Pentecost

In this week’s episode of the Easy English Bible Study Podcast Jesus is sending out the 12 apostles with instructions and warnings. He tells them that many believers will be persecuted, even by family members. He tells them not to be afraid of people who can only kill the body but be afraid of God who can destroy both the body and soul. And yet we do not need to be afraid of God since God cares for us deeply. We need to tell others about our faith in Jesus. Never deny Jesus. This bible reading has tough commands but also the comforting truth that God cares for us. We can trust in God even if we are hurt by others because of our faith.
