Matthew 18:1-20 (Ep.055), A. Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost

Jesus teaches who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. In this reading Jesus tells his disciples to become of low position and dependent like little children. Jesus also talks about sin that causes people to stumble and that we should not cause others to stumble and we should get rid of anything in our lives that causes us to sin (stumble). Jesus tells the short parable of finding the one lost sheep to show how much God wants to restore anyone who sins. Finally Jesus explains how to help restore someone who sins who is in your church.
