Fred Whitman is a missionary and pastor in Perugia, Italy and has been supported by our church for over 40 years. Fred Whitman was born in 1948 in a pastor’s home, the oldest of seven children. From his earliest memories he was exposed to the Gospel, Christian service, and missions. He is a graduate of Baptist Bible College of PA (B.R.E. in Missions, Th.B. in Pastoral Theology, M.Min.), and is currently enrolled in the D.Min. program. Fred has been happily married to Rachel (Richmond) since 1971, and they have been ministering together with the Baptist Mid-Missions since a month after their wedding. Their ministries in Italy include the founding of a local church, along with daily radio and TV outreaches. Fred and Rachel have four married children and currently 12 grandchildren, soon to be 13, the Lord-willing.
