John thought that he should be baptized by Jesus. After Jesus is baptized we see in one moment the trinity. The Father says “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Also the Holy Spirit comes down to Jesus like a dove. One take away is that we too can tell our children that we love them and that they please us just as the Father did to Jesus.
