Matthew 7:24-29 | Do Your Feet Go All The Way To The Ground?

"Sacred" or "Secular" - we all build our lives on central ideas and tenets. Sometimes we choose these with great thoughtfulness and intentionality. Other times, these operate in the subconscious, unintentional and unseen. Jesus of Nazareth offers this wisdom: Life will be full of storms. Rain, flood, and wind will beat on the structures of our lives - and those structures built on "sand" will be devestated. Those built on "the rock" will experience the same storms, but will endure as structures with foundations of strength. What is "the Rock"? Jesus himself. His words and teaching reveal who he is, and how we can live in his kingdom. His life, death, and resurrection not only guarantee our future, they secure and stabilize our present.
