Matthew 9:35-10:20 — Jesus Sends Out The Twelve (Ep.043), A. Third Sunday After Pentecost

Welcome to the Easy English Bible Study Podcast. Together we learn about the bible and learn English at the same time. In today’s reading, Jesus preaches the good news of the kingdom in many towns and villages. He then sends out the 12 disciples to preach the message of the kingdom of heaven and to perform many healing miracles. Jesus tells them to not bring any money but to depend on God and the kindness of the people they visit. He tells them to be “as shrewd (wise and careful) as snakes and as innocent (pure) as doves.” He warns them that they will suffer many things because of the message they preach. Jesus tells the disciples that the Spirit of the Father will give speak through them.
