Matthew Chapter 2

We continue our 'Reading Matthew in Lent' series today by reading through Chapter Two of St Matthew's Gospel. The second chapter of St Matthew's gospel describes the events after the birth of Jesus. We hear about the visit of the Wise Men who are travelling in search of a newborn king, about the attempt by King Herod to kill the infant Messiah, Joseph and his family's flight into Egypt, and their return to live in Israel, settling in Nazareth.
