Matthew Chapters 11-12

In this episode, we read Matthew chapters 11 and 12, where responses to Jesus begin to reveal the condition of people’s hearts. John the Baptist wrestles with doubt, cities reject repentance, and religious leaders grow increasingly critical of Jesus’ authority. Jesus addresses burdens, rest, the meaning of the Sabbath, and the danger of hardened hearts. He emphasizes mercy over ritual and warns against rejecting the work of the Spirit. Matthew 11–12 reminds us that Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him, but also challenges us to respond with humility, faith, and open hearts rather than skepticism and pride.
