Matthew: Come Meet the King - For His Eyes Only (Matthew 6:1-4)

from CreeksideDM · host CreeksideDM

Steve Smith :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, May 17th, 2020 “Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them... when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet...” In Steve Smith’s message from Matthew 6:1-4, Jesus teaches a for-God’s-eyes-only principal of righteous living and the practice of righteous giving—the kind that’s done in secret—by those living in the presence of God. Jesus prohibited hypocrisy and promoted secrecy in our charity. Steve’s sermon follows several announcements by Alan Crim and a remembrance of Creekside’s Ruben Martinez who recently sacrificed his own life to save another. This was our first public service held at Creekside since the COVID-19 outbreak encouraged public church meetings to close in March. All music permitted under CCLI License #264436.
