Have you ever been forced to be with someone that you didn’t want to be with? Maybe you ignored them or tried to distract yourself. The good news of Matthew’s gospel is that Jesus is God with us. But it’s only good news if we choose to be with Him too.

Sermon Questions:

1. Have you ever been forced to be with someone that you didn’t want to be with? What did you do about it?

2. Jesus is God with us (see Matt. 1:22-23 & 28:20). How do we show that we are glad about this and want to be with Him too?

3. Why do many claim to love Jesus but want nothing to do with His bride the Church? How good of a “bride of Christ” are we personally as Christians? (Eph. 5:25-27)

4. How does your service make the bride of Christ more attractive? What specifically do you do that helps?

5. When you became a Christian you were baptized into the Father, Son and Spirit (Matt. 28:18-20). What significant things has Jesus done that have helped you grow closer to Him over the years?
