Matthew has gone on to work for the Brisbane Roar FC, English Institute of Sport (EIS) as well as UK professional rugby sides Scarlets and Coventry Rugby. Matthew shares his journey on how he got his first job in high performance, to being uncertain about the industry and backpacking through South America, to eventually moving to the UK and establishing himself as a sports physiotherapist in elite sport. Matthew provides great insight on how he has gracefully navigated through the ups and downs by being persistent, hard working and having a belief he could provide immense value in the industry, that has resulted in establishing a long, successful and fulfilling career in the world of high performance sport.  Highlights from the episode…An interesting story of how Matthew decided to do physio which started with wanting to play football for a leading American university. How Matthew got his first gig with a professional club with no prior experience at an elite level.  How a non glamorous opportunity can take you to the role you've always dreamed for.The unspoken challenges that occur initially in your sporting career.
