Lawson was on a non-guaranteed contract for the 2024-25 NBA Season, which will leave Markieff Morris as the lone player to take the final spot on the Mavs’ roster. In other Mavs news, the 2024 NBA preseason was opened last night with a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Dereck Lively and Jaden Hardy highlights were prevalent, and Jaz Gortman also made his claim for the final two-way roster spot.
