Mawlana Shamaas Nyazee was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. After high school he decided to take a year off before college to Memorize the Qur’an. He finished the memorization of the Qur’an with Shaykh Haroon at Darul Qur’an Foundation in January 2010 in a span of about 8 months. He then travelled to Pakistan to study at Jamia Hasnain Faisalabad and studied for 6 years.
