Max: When you don’t have a choice

from Adam · host Adam Webber

Today I had an amazing time listening and learning from Max’s story. Max is know as the Blind Blogger and he has traveled all over the world giving speeches and meeting with fascinating people. Max lives his life as an adventure and he has so much wisdom and perspective to share with the world. One piece of advise and framework that Max uses when facing an obstacle is something that his dad used to say to him… “I don’t have a choice”. When you get it in your mind that the only way forward is to do that thing that seems like it is the impossible, the unfavorable or the scary thing is to frame it as you have no other choice but to do it. Max frames so much of his life through positive thinking and how our mindset dictates everything that comes our way in life. If we are unhappy we will find lots of unhappiness in life and if we are happy, grateful and open we will find an amazing world that is waiting to help us on our journeys. Max talks about keeping a gratitude journal in order to remind us of all the amazing little things that happen in our days. When you can frame the world through the lens of gratitude you will see how wonderful the world really is. Every situation in life is an opportunity to teach us something new, and as Max says “when the student is ready the teacher will appear”.
