May 10, 2023 - Baseball Tops Kansas

It was a relatively successful week for the Texas Longhorns on the diamond, taking the series from the Kansas Jayhawks and keeping themselves alive for a regular season conference title. Lebarron Johnson had a stellar start on Saturday, helping Texas right the ship after a disastrous season opener on Friday, earning himself Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for his efforts. Texas managed to hold off Kansas on Sunday and get a needed conference win with just one series left on the schedule. The ladies went to Waco and suffered a season-closing sweep at the hands of the Baylor softball team, setting up a conference tournament opener against Texas Tech. Both the men's and the women's tennis teams advanced to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament, with hopes to take it back to Florida for a chance at the national championship.
