May 1990 - Back to the Future Part III
from Interjections: The Undiscovered Decade
The fifth month of 1990 was still languishing in early year dreck, but with the summer season about to start the third film in the successful Back to the Future trilogy debuted. The aptly named Back to the Future: Part III finds Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) travelling back to 1885 in order to rescue Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) from his existential fate. It wraps up the trilogy perfectly, and we talk about its resonance here.
