Taurus is currently occupied by Rahu, which can amplify, confuse and destabilize the energy of the sign and the other planets passing through.Mercury transits through Taurus May 1-25, Venus transits through her own sign of Taurus from May 4-28, and the Sun from May 14 – June 14. Taurus is a fertile, creative and vibrant sign that will support social connections and creative projects this month.Just before the Sun moves to Taurus, he is joined by the Moon on May 11 for the new Moon. In the days leading up to May 11, the waning Moon may cause feelings of depletion. Best not to push too hard at this time, even though the energetic planets in Taurus beckon.Jupiter is still moving in direct motion through Aquarius, providing a positive, guiding influence on Mars, who transits Gemini during the month of May. This is a good combination for planning the next growth stage.On May 23, Saturn begins a retrograde cycle that will last through October 10. Retrograde motion can sometimes produce reverse effects, which could cause Saturn appear a bit quicker and lighter on his feet. This could also indicate foundational editing to be done.On May 26, there will be a full Moon total eclipse as the Moon joins Ketu in Scorpio and the Sun joins Rahu in Taurus. The second eclipse of this pair comes at the next new Moon on June 10.Mercury will initiate a retrograde cycle on May 29 that returns him to Taurus where he resumes direct motion on June 22. Both retrograde cycles and eclipses tend to bring unexpected circumstances and disruptions.
