May 2021 on EH-FM: First Cow, The Woman in the Window, Some Kind of Heaven, The Dog Who Wouldn't Be Quiet, Christos Nikou

This month, Cinetopia founder Amanda Rogers is joined by co-producer Jim Ross (TAKEONECinema.net Managing Editor) and show regulars Steph Brown and Simon Bowie. Together they review Kelly Reichardt's frontier tale FIRST COW, Joe Wright's adaptation of thriller novel THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW, Ana Katz's absurdist shaggy dog tale THE DOG WHO WOULDN'T BE QUIET, and Lance Oppenheim's documentary about a "Disneyworld for retirees" SOME KIND OF HEAVEN. Jim also speaks to Christos Nikou, director of festival favourite and upcoming release APPLES. ------------------------ 08:43 - First Cow (Dir: Kelly Reichardt) 27:52 - The Woman in the Window (Dir: Joe Wright) 44:31 - The Dog Who Wouldn't Be Quiet (Dir: Ana Katz) 1:01:34 - Some Kind of Heaven (Dir: Lance Oppenheim) 1:25:46 - Interview with Christos Nikou (Apples) 1:42:12 - Short film recommendations ------------------------ Steph's short: Small Deaths (Dir: Lynne Ramsay) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFCoLbEKoQ0 Simon's short: Curve (Dir: Tim Egan) - https://vimeo.com/221821296
