May 28 - Confessing: Declare these things (1)

from The KJD Devotional Podcast · host Dr Olujide Arije

The most precious possession of God is His word. He watches over them to make them come to past. To make a confession is to say what you have seen or are a witness of. In the law court, it is also referred to as giving a testimony. To confess is to witness a truth that you know by saying it. These facts immediately bring up many issues. Firstly, a person cannot be a faithful witness to what he/she has not seen, heard, experienced, or actually witnessed. That means to be able to give a correct testimony or confession, the person must have seen, heard, or experienced that event to which he/she is testifying. Secondly, a person that makes a confession about what he/she has not seen or heard, did not experience, or was not a witness of is a false witness. The import of this will soon dawn.
