Children Mending Hearts was founded by filmmakers Lysa and Grant Heslov. Lysa Heslov joins us on 5900 Wilshire to talk about how the non-profit inspires empathy in at-risk children in the U.S. for children in conflict zones and impoverished areas around the world through art education programs. Children Mending Hearts partners with Los Angeles schools and community organizations including the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, After School All-Stars and Girl Scouts of America.
