Food For The Poor is a faith-based relief and development charity working in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. For more than 37 years they have partnered with local pastors, churches, and parachurch organizations in countries like Haiti, seeking to lift the poorest of the poor out of poverty through feeding programs, clean water initiatives, by providing safe housing, and various educational and self-sustainability initiatives. A couple weeks ago we set about seeking to provide life-saving food and water for 36 families suffering under the yoke of a three year drought in Haiti. They are desperate for food and water JUST TO SURVIVE. So far, 26 families have been saved, and today we’re seeking to taking care of the last 10 families on our 1160 Hope “list”. We’re hoping and praying you and your family will make the decision to provide a life-saving gift today. Our guest today is Todd Chatman, a Child Advocate for Food For The Poor. He’s worked with FFP for nearly 10 years, advocating for the Poor, giving voice to the voiceless, and encouraging Christians in America to rise to the Biblical mandate to care for “the least of these”.
