What’s five times six! Thirty! As in, the thirtieth day of the fifth month of 2023. And what’s five times 30? 150! And somehow, May 30 is the 150th day of 2023. Does any of this matter, or would it simply be better to say this is the penultimate day of May, a month that sounds so polite.
