May 5th 2020 Special - The Mandalorian, Ocala drive-in interview, Never Rarely Sometimes Always, The Whistlers, Calm With Horses

This month we bring an extra edition of the podcast, broadcast for the first time with video on Cinetopia's social media channels. On this edition of the show, co-producers Amanda Rogers (Cinetopia co-founder) and Jim Ross (Managing Editor of TAKE ONE) are joined by freelance critic and show regular Marc Nelson to review The Mandalorian, The Whistlers from Curzon Artificial Eye, Calm With Horses from Altitude Films and Never Rarely Sometimes Always. Amanda also interviews John Watzke, the proprietor of Florida's Ocala drive-in theatre, which for a short period during the current crisis was the only US theatre playing new releases. 01:41 - We Are One Global Film Festival 07:31 - The Mandalorian 25:08 - The Whistlers 41:16 - Calm With Horses 55:43 - Never Rarely Sometimes Always 1:08:48 - Interview with John Watzke of the Ocala drive-in 1:20:28 - Short and feature film recommendations ************** Short film recommendations for May 5th: Amanda - Chat écoutant la musique - Dir: Chris Barker - https://youtu.be/MrEHvDdEPrI Marc - Valentin de las Sierras - Dir: Bruce Baillie - https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpa84 Jim - The Frying Game - Dir: Martin Lennon - https://vimeo.com/251064560
