(10:12-21:37) Mandy Smith, pastor of University Christian Church, is someone who has an understanding of the grief people are feeling with losing Rachel Held Evans. She joins Brian and Ian on air to offer up words of wisdom on how to approach those who are grieving at Rachel's passing. (21:37-32:03) When it seems as though God is silent in the wake of tragedy and loss, how do we wrestle with this apparent uncaring response from the Lord? Brian and Ian take time to look into how even through vast amounts of pain, God is with us and working within us for a greater good. (32:03-41:54) One of the great things about being a pastor is sharing with fellow believers one's thoughts on different topics related to the faith. Brian and Ian spend time discussing what they each preached on Sunday and how it can tie into the daily life of fellow Christians and into the topics on the day's show. (41:54-52:14) Over the weekend, pastor and author Warren Wiersbe went home with the Lord. His works touched people across all walks of life. Brian and Ian remark on his loss, his impact in their own lives and on a piece he penned about reaching mid-life and pushing through it. (52:14-1:13) From President Trump attacking social media for banning Alex Jones and James Woods, to the public's "insatiable appetite for true crime" movies, there is a lot going in media and culture today.
