The official May Day celebrations in South African town of Bloemfontein on Monday ended in shambles. President Jacob Zuma was heckled and booed and as a result of security concerns -planned speeches by trade union Cosatu President and SACP General Secretary Blade Nzimande were cancelled. Zuma was expected to deliver the keynote address at the labour federation's annual May Day celebrations. The events of the day have seen leaders present reflect on the state of the alliance.
