Happy Black History Month!! Even though we should be celebrating our culture everyday, lets take this month to reflect and admire how far we have come. I enjoy the freedom of expression that black people have, we are not afraid to speak our truths whether it be pain, joy or both. Maya Angelou is a black iconic HERO. From her memorable voice to her captivating words, she embodies the black experience like no other. As a black woman I can't help but be compelled to live in her truths and take her words as though they were my very own.  Today and everyday we celebrate "Maya Angelou". #HappyBlackHistoryMonth.
