Mayor Lurie cuts city's workforce amid budget deficit

The City of San Francisco announced another round of layoffs Monday morning with Mayor Daniel Lurie cutting the city's workforce amid a $643 million dollar budget deficit. Oakland’s historic Camron-Stanford House averted disaster with this past weekend’s fire, now the community is helping to bring it back. The next time you’re on BART, you may see a bit of poetry posted inside a train car, it was written by a young author taking part in the 826 Valencia program.
