Paul & Connor reviews McConnell's Sherry Cask Finished Whisky. McConnell’s Sherry Cask Finish is aged for 5 years in 1st fill select Bourbon barrels. It is then finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry Casks which bring out rich aromas of dried figs, dark chocolate and lingering spice.Nose: Dried figs and currants followed by Christmas spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon, dark chocolate, and a hint of fresh leather.Taste: Demerara sugar, dark ripe cherries and black raspberry followed by bitter dark chocolate shavings and rich red apples.Finish: Lingering oak notes, with a hint of leather and subtle clove spice.ABV: 46% or 92 proof for us Americans.So what is this big announcement?Bourbon With Friends was always designed to have three co-hosts. Paul and Connor have decided that a dynamic third co-host could elevate Bourbon With Friends even further than it has come in the last two years. With that being said, we are officially on the hunt for the newest member of our team!We are looking for best man or woman to join the crew to help elevate the podcast and brand..and you can be located anywhere in the USA. This will require at least 1 night a week, occasional trips for in person events, and helping to organize and plan our annual Bourbon Ball for Folds of Honor.From July 1-7: Submit an intro and brief review of a bourbon or whiskey of your choice. We will choose the best of those submissions between July 8-10. With the winners joining us in a live podcast setting between July 12-16.
