Isabelle Gélinas, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy, McGill University.  She is also a researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation in Montreal and a member of the Candrive Research Team, interested in driving in the elderly. She developed the Disability Assessment for Dementia (DAD), a measure of functional abilities in activities of daily living, which is used clinically and in clinical trials internationally. She is also interested in issues related to different forms of transportation mobility, including driving, to enable community participation for adults with disability and older adults. Prof. Gélinas developed a web-based graduate certificate program on driving rehabilitation. Prof. Gélinas will speak about driving and dementia and will identify when it is time to stop.
