McKenna’s Arrival Could Transform Leafs Offense

Toronto’s big gamble paid off as they drafted Gavin McKenna first overall in the 2026 NHL Draft — a dynamic playmaker projected to explode for 60+ points and reignite Auston Matthews’ scoring touch. McKenna’s NCAA dominance, capped by a World Junior breakout, signals elite upside, and with new coach Jim Hiller and defenseman Darren Raddysh joining the mix, the Leafs are poised for a full rebuild. Ranked fourth on the team and second in fantasy rookie projections, McKenna’s puck control and shot volume could fix their offensive woes and transform the power play — all while playing alongside Matthews and Nylander. This isn’t just a draft pick; it’s the cornerstone of a new Leafs era. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
