The cast introduces a new MDT/Doctors and Dragons Daggerheart experiment set in the post–post-apocalyptic Echo Veil, where technology and the mysterious KOHD code sustain citadels amid rogue autonomous machines after a virus outbreak. Lily Pilly reaches a worn wild data well and encounters a nervous Qatari woman pursued by a cloaked spellblade and remnant creatures, prompting combat as the woman tries to transmit a message to the Motherboard. The party defeats a glass-and-gear snake and subdues the spellblade, but the transmission countdown hits zero and the Qatari collapses.
