Meander with Robert Day

from Meanderings with Trudy · host Robert Day, Trudy Chapman

It’s not often that any of us get to see the inside of science and policy work but today’s episode with Robert Day is just such an opportunity. Robert has recently retired from his management responsibilities in the Government of Canada where he spent more than 20 years in fisheries and oceans management, which included a lot of environmental and climate change discussions, many with international dimensions. Now that he’s retired, he’s continued to keep his hand in international fisheries discussions and also moved the needle on other activities dear to his heart – activities that also make a positive difference in our world, such as organizing his community's Audubon Christmas Bird Count. I hope you enjoy this episode, it's helped me to see the wide range of possibilities for me as I also consider moving into semi-retirement.Links:Chapman Coaching Inc.Big Stone HouseInternational Pacific Halibut CommissionNorth Pacific Fisheries CommissionBasin-scale Events to Coastal Impact project (in the North Pacific Ocean) of the UN Decade for Ocean ScienceAudubon Christmas Bird CountRegional Fisheries Management Organization (RFMO)—is an international body made up of countries that share a practical and/or financial interest in managing and conserving fish stocks in a particular region.Mayors for PeaceRoyalty free music is called Sunday Stroll – by Huma-HumaPlease send thoughts and comments to [email protected] As always, this podcast is sponsored by the guests who give of their time, and by my company, Chapman Coaching Inc.Royalty free music is gratefully received and is called Sunday Stroll – by Huma-HumaLive life joyfully, and always let kindness guide you.
