מה יותר מתאים מאשר לפתוח את השנה חדשה עם פרק עם האיש שהניח פה את הרצפה שעליה מונחת התשתית לכל הדבר הזה שנקרא תרבות גלישה בכללי וגלישה תחרותית בישראל בפרט. קשה לצמצם את האיש הזה לשני פרקים ובטח שלא לפרק אחד... אבל ניסינו כי הזמן קצר והמלאכה.... סיימון או שמעון או טל.. גדל בהילטון של שנות ה-70 שהוא מביט על דורות הנפילים של הגלישה, אמור קנצפולסקי, גלי זינר, עופר זרמתי, ניר אלמוג, שאול זינר ועוד ענקים כאלו.. אחרי שגדל, וסלל את דרכו בליין אפ הסגור והמקומי של הילטון, ועשה כמה תחרויות בארץ ובאירופה החליט שצריך לייסד משהו שראוי לכשרון שמתפתח אז בארץ וייתן במה לגולשים הישראלים וכך נוסד ארגון גולשי הגלים בישראל. אין ילד בישראל שגדל בשנות ה-90 ולא זוכר את אפנת הגלישה ״גזוז״ ששמעון הקים כדי לתמוך בארגון ביחד עם שותפו אבי ששון (סוסו) עם הצבעים הזרחניים והפוסטרים שנגנבו מתחנות האוטובוסים והטריפו דור שלם של בני נוער שלא בהכרח גלשו, אבל רצו לגעת בזהר. אז הבנתם... פרק א ג ד ה! וזה רק החלק הראשון... הבריכה שתשנה לכולם את החיים בהמשך... סיימון טל דוייב - Surf Maker ת ב ל ו !!
