The political campaign of Senator Mills is on the rocks. A public gaff has turned his supporters on him, and for the first time it seems like underdog upstart Max Holliday could win. With the media now on Holliday’s side, Mills calls in Trip Dickens, a notorious assassin, to eliminate the competition during a campaign event at Circus Circus casino in Las Vegas. The hit is easy for the infinitely cool hitman till a sudden change of luck has Trip botching attempts on Holliday’s life as an intrepid reporter starts to notice - and misinterpret - the presence of this sinister figure who’s hot on Holliday’s trail.
